Nothing really interesting has happened today apart from procrastinating with convention prep and hiding away from the super hot sunshine we had today (my face feels sunburnt :< )
So Sophira-lou uploaded her new YT video today about fineliners vs watercolor think you should give it a watch... aaaaanyway she released Free lineart for everyone to color and I had a go at doing one under pressure. a 10 minute pressure. my god is it challenging to color something in fast. Be sure to credit her when posting your colored version online. Love, Zu~

Here's a sneak peek of my guest art piece for the 2016 carousel artbook by Sophira-lou! The theme is space/constellations and I chose Pegasus as my constellation piece. This piece was a challenge as I don't draw centaurs very often let alone feathered wings, Nevertheless I had great fun with it and had some decent feedback from the fellow artists that have also contributed to this amazing project. I want to say a HUGE Congrats to Sophie, who has been amazing at creating another stunning idea for her artbook, I'm glad I got to be apart of this project again as it's been fun to create another Carousel character with a purpose. All the artists involved have worked really hard and I cannot wait for this book to be finished. The book is scheduled for a July release so please keep an eye on Sophie's page for updates. Love, Zu~ Maël and Xander "The Fiery Prince and the Dark elven hunter." Working on new prints for Sunnycon and this one is probably going to be my favourite.
This is going to be in a set of 6 prints revolving around both characters and their powers. March-April has been a busy time of the year, with Sunnycon in 2 months I'm trying my best to produce a lot of original work whether thats prints or one of a kind art.
I'm definitely working towards a Fantasy Theme with all my work as thats what I enjoy and I hope my audience with love them too. Brush pens are becoming my worst Art tool so far, I have no love towards my pentel pocket brush pen as i have not got a steady hand nor the patience to create something natural with it, which is such a shame as it is a lovely tool to use but its definitely something i won't be buying again. I'm learning to try new mediums like inks and watercolor to create art but the lack of skill is such a downer when on a tight work schedule. If anyone has any products that they want to see my try out and review please feel free to leave a comment here or on my FB page. Love, Zu~ |
